Tune-Ups

Your amplifier requires regular maintenance to perform at it’s best. A tune up includes: a part by part internal inspection, chassis / cabinet clean out, all tubes tested, all relevant voltages measured, power tube bias checked / adjusted, output power measured, all contacts cleaned, speakers tested (in combo amps), and any other routine service specific to the amplifier model.

This service is for an otherwise working amp. If your amp isn’t turning on or making sound, a tune-up won’t fix it! Bring it in and we’ll diagnose the problem for you.

Rates

Bench Fee - $60 - Due in advance, before work can begin. It covers the labor to diagnose your amp and any simple repairs that can be done in the first hour of inspection.

Hourly Rate - $60 - You will be given a full estimate before we complete any service, which you can accept or decline. If approved, your Bench Fee is applied to your total and the balance must be paid before we return your gear.

Rush Fee - $100 - We typically have many amps in the shop waiting for bench time and it can take two to three weeks before we can give your amp the attention it needs. A rush fee moves your item to the top of the queue. A Bench Fee is still required to start the work. This does not guarantee same day service or that any parts needed will be in stock.
